56 Up 2012

56 Up    This series started in 1964 with the film Seven Up.   Interviews were conducted with fourteen children from diverse backgrounds all over England.  Every seven years, they have been interviewed again about their lives and their dreams for the future.  At the age of 56, there are a lot of life-changing decisions and surprising developments have happened.
There seems to be not as much pressure to get a University education in Britian as in the States.  It is very interesting to peek into their lives and see what they hoped for and what actually happened.  Many are divorced and did have children even though they thought they would not.  You can see the same features in their faces as they have aged too.  3 1/2* (I liked this movie)

144 min, Doc directed by Michael Apted with Bruce Balden, Jacqueline Bassett, Symon Basterfield, Andrew Brackfield, John Brisby, Peter Davies, Suzanne Dewey, Charles Furneaux, Nicholas Hitchon, Neil Hughes, Lynn Johnson, Paul Kligerman, Susan Sullivan, Tony Walker.

Note:  Imdb 7.6 out of 10, 100% critic 74% audience on Rotten Tomatoes.
