Pitch Perfect 2012

Pitch Perfect     Beca arrives a her new college and she doesn’t expect to fit in.  She is interested in music and only what is coming out of her headphones.  She sings in the shower and is immediately recruited for a female acoustic singing group.  There are a lot of rules for being in this group and there is not much room for change.  This is what you are going to do and this is how you are going to do it!  The biggest problem with this method is they are not winning competitions.  The male group is beating them up using innovation.  Beca would like to provide input on changing everything about the group but she’s voted down constantly.
OK, this must be a movie for tweens or teens who are interested in this type of music.  The first third of the movie made me want to gag and turn it off.  This is not very funny and some of the music is the only thing going for it.  3* (This movie is OK)

112 min, Comedy directed by Jason Moore with Anna Kendrick, Skylar Astin, Ben Platt, Brittany Snow, Anna Camp, Rebel Wilson, Alexis Knapp, Michael Dean Ester.

Note:  Blockbuster 3 ½*, imdb, 7.2 out of 10, 81% critic 83% audience on Rotten Tomatoes.
